The !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is that the "fracas" in which Clarkson was involved with a producer, included Jezza throwing a punch at the producer. If, so, there's an excellent chance that Clarkson won't just be suspended, but fired. Perhaps even charged with an offense.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

It's hard to see how you keep your job if you actually start punching people at work.

I hope it's not true, but, if it is, we may just have to say goodbye to Top Gear for good.

Wait..what.. A punch? Where did you find that tidbit of information?

One just has to wonder what could have been said or done to get Clarkson so angry as to jeopardize that gig by (allegedly) throwing a punch.

I can't help but think it was more than just production notes he didn't agree with.

I think something quite serious must have happened. He's always been a force to be reckoned with, but this points to a bigger problem.

He's on-camera talent. The punched producer will be fired.

Ahh.. Figures.. Not a reliable source then (though I won't doubt that Jeremy is capable of doing such a thing).

Well, Clarkson has become a bit immune to this kind of thing, I expect him to bounce back from it Bernie-style.

If not, then this is a golden opportunity for BBC to get Tiff Needell on Top Gear and make my dreams come true.

Well, in the worst case scenario that he is fired, I hope its for something spectacularly ridiculous. Something the people find out and say...Yeah that would getcha fired.

Like taking s shit on the Producer's desk, having his car painted pink, replacing his range rovers tires with 13" wheels and tired...

I'm not sure how it works in the UK, but if he did that here, I'm pretty sure the producer would be comforted in his unemployment by the giant pile of money his settlement from the inevitable lawsuit would bring him.

they'll sit down, have a cup of tea, Clarkson will say "Sorry ol' chap" and they'll get back on with the show

Clarkson is known for being a violent imbecile.

That may be true, but I can imagine that he still likes his job enough to keep it... and wouldn't put it at risk for a minor nuisance.
