Exhibited at the Pakistan Auto Parts Show in Karachi past weekend; built by groups of students from junior and senior classes, these guys and girls made some fantastic stuff out of automotive parts off junk stores, motorcycles, and what not. All of this was sold out before you could get an understanding of the concepts.

Some projects were done by girls throughout and they showed me the entire process which included welding and procuring, all of which these girls did by themselves under the supervision of their faculty.

While some of the art work was entirely automotive in concept, the others were depicting social issues and popular figures from the society.

I don't know why but I was surprised to hear there is a Pakistan Auto Parts Show not to mention a Karachi School of Arts.

Some of this stuff looks pretty cool.

Haha. Also, we don't speak Urdu and has absolutely nothing in common with Arabs except religion. Pakistan has quite a lot art schools and Karachi School of Arts is the mediocre one.

But thank you, you're right. Some of it is cool but when you come to know that these were just made by 2nd year honor students, all of it becomes quite cool.

That a car fan in northern Ohio can have a conversation with fellow car fan in Karachi is one of the great things about the internet.

Nice to meet you.

I've always enjoyed your posts - your pictures are so beautiful, it makes me dream of one day visiting Pakistan. If your new project means you'll be offroad and taking even more pictures, it's going to be great!

Hey, thanks! I try to come here and post whenever I get time. My new project would mean a lot for many many things so hopefully.

I took a road trip to Lahore this weekend. Didn't take much pictures, etc but I'll think of sharing something about it.
