Super Bees are grossly expensive too. R/Ts are in used GT-R territory.

All Mopars are insanely priced. I dont know how many were sold, but I'm guessing it has to be way less than the Chevy and Ford equivalents to warrant their price.

it also has to do with their survival rate, the mopars had the worst sheetmetal of the muscle cars.

That makes sense actually.
I always lurk around of the Detroit CL and there is and even looking now under $5000 there are only 9 cars that fall under the entire Chrysler umbrella out of 367 listings. Lots of Ford and a ton of Chevy stuff in that price range.

Yeah, every Dodge/Plymouth from that era with the slightest hint of muscle/pony car to it is incredibly overvalued because all those guys you see at Barrett-Jackson every year have inflated the values astronomically.
They'll drop serious coin on a roller with light surface rust, $20K+ even without an interior.
A friend of mine wanted something from that era and ended up buying a '71 Chevy Nova because they're still relatively cheap and incredibly light (for the era) and since there's nothing to devalue by not keeping it stock he's dropping a crate small block/blower in it right now

The best Mopar buy right now is probably the early 70's a bodies. My 70 dart swinger cost me 1500 bucks and "ran" when I got it. The junkyard magnum swap is gonna cost me another 3k all in with the factory efi. So for 5k I have a "driver".

It's mostly to do with the build numbers. They just weren't as popular as their Ford and GM competitors. A rare Ford or GM was way more common than a rare Mopar. My dad had a 1-64 Plymouth GTX (manual, 6-pack).
