I know someone who put an Audi 5 cylinder turbo in one and made it rear wheel drive, somehow. More feasible than the twin Audi 5cyl turbo Fox wagon they built with AWD

It looks like it's in good condition for a Michigan car that's nearing 40 years old. Aren't these becoming like, stupid rare these days? I remember looking for one years ago and not having much luck.

Nice! My friend bought a diesel new beetle, and put that engine in his rabbit pickup. Though I learned on the old engine.

This pickups are really easy to learn on and shift. Plus, I love the long throw (am I saying that right?) when changing gears. There's something...satisfying about it.

your right, my friend who owns the rabbit, said this:

yeah, that ones not a good price. It has been on CL for about 6mo iirc. There was one in ohio without an engine for $600 last month. Deals can be had.

I agree, I had a blue diesel in roughly a little worse shape in some areas, better in others , but with BBS's I bought running for 200$. Was great to drive around. Also had a cap, but some interesting primer details

It does look good, I think. The one I learned on didn't have an interior, so I'm not totally sure.

I'm loving the awkward color too. It's different, I like different.

$2200. A lot of miles, but everything tight and working at that point, and the fiberglass top was worth $600-$700, or so I'd been told.
