It's been raining in Texas

When it rains here, my yard turns onto a swamp. I never get flooded out, but I wouldn't recommend walking through the grass when it's been raining. This morning when I got up and went to take my dog for a walk I found a little surprise in my yard.

The car's owner saw me taking photos and came over to apologize and explain. Her kids are sick, and she didn't want to have to carry them all the way out to the street in the rain, so she tried to drive up on the sidewalk to get them closer to the house.

Yeah, that worked...

They were trying to town it out with an E250 van, but made no progress. They've called a tow truck, but it's still in my yard...

I know the feeling with a swampy yard. Plus the fact that there's been a layer of snow/ice on my lawn for over a month and it's pretty awful in my back yard. I sink about 1/2 an inch everywhere I walk.

Can't say I've ever found a car in my yard though.

On a side note, can't say I've ever seen those headlights on a Civic before. I can't place if they're aftermarket or JDM.

That's Texas. This cold run we've been getting is nice though. Not as uncomfortably hot as the normal Texas weather.

She's promised she'll fix the ruts in the yard, and yeah I'd be pissed if I wasn't renting the place. I mostly took the photos to show the landlord if they raise a fuss.
