Because I am bored and trying not to think about tomorrow being Monday.
Here is mine, taken Friday evening after work:
Edited, of course, to make the car look less disgusting. The snow is melting, thank God, but that means wet roads and salty water spray everywhere.

Wow, that is a lot of snow. Where are you located? We got two separate snowfalls of around 12 inches each this past month or so and that brought my entire state (Kentucky) to a halt. We are nowhere near used to snowfalls of that amount.

I'm really enjoying it so far. Mine is the 2.0T Ecoboost (240hp/270 lb ft), plenty of power and much stronger road holding than a large FWD sedan should be capable of.
Coming from a Grand Marquis I continue to be impressed by all the fancy tech features, but the build quality is definitely lacking in some areas. The headliner doesn't meet the pillars very well and is fraying in the front, the piano black trim on the exterior of the front pillars is coming off the body near the side mirrors.
We will see how it holds up (so far Ive had it 1 1/2 months and put 5k miles on it - 45k miles total) over the long run but I'm loving it so far.

Back story. Couldn't make it up hill in driveway. Old bumper sat too low. After 4 months living at new house, i finally made it up. Because i only just recently made it up, my wife gave away open garage spot 2 days ago to let brother in law store stuff for their new house.
It's okay. IsIt's only for about 10 days.

That's interesting, our license plates are only a few numbers of from each other:
I bought mine in April of last year, you must have bought yours just after mine.
Unfortunately mine was killed while waiting at a stop light by an elderly gentleman crossing into oncoming traffic:

I've heard some things about the build quality on those and the new Lincoln MKZs. I suppose time will tell. I think they're basically solid vehicles, just with a few odds and ends that aren't perfect.

I always wonder how that works exactly. My aunt had a 2001 Ford Explorer and there's another one driving around with just one digit different license plate, and I see a CRV around that has an almost identical plate to my girlfriend's. I wonder if the plates ordered in any sort of order according to car or dealership to make this fairly common.

Well I recognize San Diego in your pictures (I'm currently at work in Mira Mesa area). Any chance you bought from North County Ford?
I'm wondering if the dealers submit paperwork in batches and their cars sold during that period end up getting sequential plates.
Garrett Davis
> Officer Jim Lahey is not a real cop
03/09/2015 at 13:48 | 1 |
Haha, yes as a matter of fact I did! Bought it from North County Ford on April 14th. What a coincidence, but that makes sense given the plates. I guess the dealer orders a whole block of plates, and by the looks of it, assigns them to similar model cars — though that last part could just be a coincidence.
We were probably just a few weeks from competing for the same car, haha!
