I've never had so much as a hiccup with my Uverse broadband but if you're getting Uverse TV service I hope there's nothing you were planning to watch on Fox Sports 1. They're in a pissing match with AT&T over carriage fees and AT&T hasn't backed down in any of their past standoffs with broadcasters (NHL Network we hardly knew ye).
As far as service interruptions I can remember 1 in the 6 years since Uverse became available and that was a 6 hour TV outage only caused by a network technician's error that cascaded across the entire country

In our building, we can have any cable service we want ... as long as it's Time Warner. In most buildings in Manhattan, certain companies have a monopoly, the price we continue to pay for them wiring up the city half a century ago. Last month the bill crept over $200 a month, and I'd had enough. Called them, and was able to keep everything we had and get the package down to $159. And they sent a new modem late last year, which supposedly speeds things up. For once, a cable feelgood story.

Ya it's one year we have to suffer with Uverse but I will deal with it as long as I can use both my consoles.

I believe Austin has it. AT&T came to my old place in Houston a week before I moved to Nebraska to inform me they were installing fiber optic. I fell to the ground and and asked God why he was doing this to me.

You shouldn't suffer at all, outside what seems to be AT&T's penchant for getting into quadrennial carriage fee disputes with 2nd tier sports networks.
As far ad reliability goes AT&T has been light years ahead of where Time Warner was during the years I had them prior to Uverse becoming available. If your main concern is your TV firing up when you press the power button on the remote and broadband so reliable it becomes something you never think about I think you'll be more than satisfied

The box is the issue, I can't play either of my Xbox's online cause the box won't allow it.

Limited HDMI ports in the TV? That's an easy fix as HDMI switches have gone way down in price, how much you spend boils down to whether your ok with a manual switch or spring for one that operates via remote. Look at Newegg.com or monoprice.com for low priced/good quality accessories like that. Monoprice sells their HDMI cables cheaper than anything Amazon sells and they're good quality cables. That goes for any of their stuff they sell under the Monoprice brand. I'll never pay a premium for cables/accessories ever again
