Looks like you need an inner tie rod. Grab yourself one of these tools from Harbor Freight and it will make changing it a snap!

The tool he is recommending is likely not going to work for you. Your rod looks a bit bent, and the tube for grabbing it looks a little straight. I foresee frustration getting your rod in the hole. There is a tool that grabs your rod from the side that you can buy though. It'll get you in on your rod and done in no time. You might not even bust the nut.
