Damn...
You can see why Senna was the 1 lap master and Prost was the professor!
While Senna was on the edge the whole time, you can see that Prost, even being quick as hell, did not struggle as much!

There is a video of one of his contemporaries talking through a lap of Senna racing with the telemetry playing side by side. The data on Senna vs. a "regular" F1 driver is...thought provoking. I think maybe it was Brundle. Senna is taking vicious stabs at the throttle before ANY driver is even thinking about it; even before normal apexes. No rolling on the power, ever. As soon as he sensed he could whack the throttle wide open it was 100% throttle.
"1" the documentary on Formula 1 safety and history was on last night. They showed a Senna qualifying lap at Monaco. Totally frightening. Senna was on another level.

I noticed his suspension wasn't moving as violently as Prost's, not under steering as much either, so he could probably drag much of that speed into race pace with less consequences to the tires.
He was smooth as fuck and fast as fuck...
