MSW Type 85 gunmetal wheels are going on and will have BFGoodrich G-Force Sport comp 2 tires. I actually HAVE to get new tires to be eligible for any SCCA events because the OE tires are 140 treadwear but 200 is now the minimum needed. I would get the 200TW "Max performance" tires but they cost twice as much, wear many times faster, and in general that extra grip is only good for a few fractions of a second that I could gain by just being a better driver. Plus these are the tire of choice for the Octane Academy fiestas. I figure if it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me.

I was going to get MSW for my E46, maybe I should have and I would not be stuck in the snow in the north east right now haha.

kudos!

I'm just super excited to get my summer tires put back on today! Been looking at wheels, too. Love your choice. Sadly, for the FoST, wheel selection is pretty rough with that 5x108 offset ):

Thankfully the Fiesta shares bolt pattern and offset with the older focus, including the SVT. And it looks like a lot of people who make miata or civic wheels make those same wheels in 4x108.

Are they still 17s? or did you go 15 or 16?

Thanks! I liked the look of the Focus wheels of that type but the official Ford racing wheels are very heavy. These are just 16.6 lbs per wheel vs. 23+ for Ford racing wheels.

MSW is an OZ sub-brand so I hope they're good. I saw a few other FiSTs running them and I love the design and the color should help hide how dusty the brakes can get.

theres some nice wheel options for the FoST, but that just means a lot of guys are running the same setup. I contacted Vivid Racing to see what they can do about a set of Cosmis XT-005R. Would probably need re-drilled, which is fine with me at this point, its just all about the offset at this point.

With my old Mazda 3s hatch, I went from the stock 17s to the lightweight 17s from a Miata. Was a 5-6 pound drop per corner, and the difference was night and day.

Yeah its a great value. I opted for E90 wheels that are staggered with performance tires.
