Sounds so much like the guy from Talking Heads

Oh, Shit Fire and Save Matches. Well found.

Saw David at the Paul Masson Winery in the Bay area many years ago, using his voice as an instrument, pissing off all the "but I expected the Talking Heads" cover folks. Loved it.

Maybe I'm just tripping on the legs at 2:54, too.

Lol, I was serious, I'm not the biggest fan of them (but I do like them still) so I didn't know he was part of this.

I've been on a Talking Heads kick the past week which led me to this.

Which led me to St. Vincent. Lady can shred.

The Youtube rabbit hole has gotten me to purchase two albums. You win this round, Youtube.

And, if you didn't find it already, the entire set from my original post is here.

Good find. Had to watch all of them completely.

Those horns are doing odd things to my brain (not to mention that they'd be shakin' my guts if I was watching it live.) Which is, I believe, one of David's goals in life - to fuck up my brain. Obviously he found a partner to help.

Shit - just watching some of the horn/vocal thing, I have to be amazeballs at the sound person - balance was perfect in that "I Should Watch TV".

Reminded of the last time I saw a young/old meeting. Robert Plant and Alison Krauss:

How the hell did I miss this album as well? Apparently it won the Grammy for best album in 2007. Cool to see T-Bone performing on that Jools Holland clip.

I really like their version of the Tom Waits song, Trampled Rose. One more album to purchase. To the record store I go.
