Snow stopped falling so I cleaned off my car to make my life easier in the morning for getting to work (if they are even open). Since it was all clean, I figured it was time for a quick ride in the snow! Just a short ride to slide a little on some empty roads. My snow tires kept everything planted and made the car do exactly what I wanted. Without excessive throttle, it felt like driving on pavement almost. I just enjoy how much of a difference the right tire makes! I wish I had an empty race course covered in snow right now, I would be up all night playing with that!!

I can easily overpower my snow tires (RWD) but the front wheels hold traction so much better now. Turning without oppo is less stressful with these tires.

I had those on my Subaru and HATED them because they gripped way too good in the snow.
Now I have them on my Camry and I hate them because I don't get as much traction as I did in the Subaru.
Meh.

Haha I could use all the grip I can get with a Miata in the snow. I could probably use some weight in the trunk to really keep things in order but I don't want to sacrifice the gas mileage. As soon as I give it enough gas the car will easily go sideways which is rather fun!

Yup, I can just bury the pedal in first or second gear, give it some oppo and just drive forward with the car angled all wild. Although these tires can still find grip pretty easily which is always surprising to me.

I preach it anywhere that I can. I generally avoid driving in the snow only because I know too many people are out there on tires past the wear bars and haven't a clue what they are doing. If everyone was doing it right, I'd be out there all the time.

I love my snow tires! Makes driving a rwd pickup in the snow effortless. I'm putting some on my wife's AWD CX-5 next year.

Shitty Camry just spins the right front tire. I can't even keep up with SUVs on all seasons. It sucks. Miss U Wagoon <3

I just got those this season for my MR2. They are absolutely insane. The amount of grip especially under braking is extremely impressive, especially considering how cheap those tires are.

Ahh well that's what the LSD is for. A camry with an LSD would be pretty funny.

That's definitely where the biggest difference is. I'm used to all seasons on the snow where I press the brake and you either get immediate ABS or locked up tires like 75% of the time. With these on my miata they just stop like normal. I still downshift a lot for added stability while slowing down but its nice to know I can stop safely when needed.

I've had these tires for three years, only getting used from November to March.
1. They show like absolutely no tread wear even though they've covered over 20K
2. I've actually NEVER been stuck with them yet, even after snowy trips to Vermont and living in Connecticut
I think they're like the Pilot Super Sports of the winter world.

Best part is how cheap they are too! I have seen no-season tires that run more expensive so these are definitely perfect. I am going to miss these tires at the end of the month when I switch back to my no-seasons.

AWD with snows has to be quite the experience. I am sure Mazda's system must be pretty FWD based, but its still gotta be kinda cool with the right tires.

My Summer tires are in Maryland and I'm in Connecticut. I'm only going back to Maryland this weekend until June, so I gotta get them installed.
Pilot SS's + a possibility of snow is gonna be interesting...

Its all about momentum. As long as you don't need to stop, turn, change directions, or accelerate up a hill, all will be well! This may have been the last snow storm, I am hoping for some spring weather soon. My top will be down every day that it is not raining for sure =)

I've heard AWD with snow tires is rather mind bending. I can't wait to try it!
