Here are a few cool bike tools that you may not have heard of.
This is a wheel dish tool, its used to dial in the amount of center/off center from the hub the rim should be, factoring in the cassette width
This is a Tensiometer, its a calibrated tool for finding the KGF (Kilograms Force) of a tensioned wheel spoke. A properly tensioned and balanced spoke wheel is a force to be reckoned with.
I love building wheels, its so calming.

I have a wheel that is bent and could use the services of BOTH of these tools. It it worth attempting to straighten, or would replacement be a better option? It's not a high-dollar part, but it's not bargain basement either (from my Diamondback).

depends on how bent, if its out of true by an inch or so laterally you can usually bring it back to true, if its out of round by a 1/2 or so its fixable. Anything else, unless they are nice wheels your best bet is new stuff.

I'd say that means it's probably fixable, but not worth the time/effort in comparison to cost of replacement. Thanks!

What are these mythical devices exactly?
