Now it's just a matter of determining size.
Debate is pretty much between 245/40/17 or 255/40/17. Since they're pretty much going to be autocross only tires I probably should be fine going with the 255s; that's just an awful lot of tire for a 17x7 wheel.

That IS a lot of rubber for a 7" wheel. I wouldn't want to go much over 225/235 ish otherwise you're going to get a really.....uh....whatever the opposite of stretched is....sidewall.
I run 205's on a 6.5" wide wheel and those are even a little too wide.

A lot of folks, with a set of dedicated wheels/tires for autocross, will run 245/255 on their CS Toyobarus. You can just never daily drive them. haha I'll likely opt for the 245 since I will be driving to events on those tires, but will be swapping them back at with OEMs after.

10/10 Would recommend to everyone. I DD on my set though, lasted me nearly a year and still plenty of tread left.

Nice!
I will probably drive on them for my club's spring, summer, and fall cruises, but otherwise they will only be used to autocross and drive to/from the events.

I think I'm going to end up going with 235/45s, but there's still some debate towards the 245/40s for the extra 1/2" of tread width. I really want to be competitive, locally at least, and run at least one national event. Although at a national event the taller sidewall on the 235/45 might help with the faster track.
