Hahahahaha, from everyone in the UK.
(Dont worry I'll never be able to afford one anyway).

It's pretty much still the eighth generation Civic from 2006 with a facelift and tweak so it really doesn't appeal to me at all.
New Skoda Fabia, Ford Focus RS, etc... yes, Civic Type-R, nope.

But on the looks of it, it will be the CTR the FN2 should of been.

I love the 8th gen Civic's look but know it's not the best of drives, add 280hp though... I can't say it'd be my choice if I had the money but I'd definitely test drive one.

Honda has never really appealed to me. They are generally seen as older peoples cars. Granted they are turning themselves around a bit but I can't help feel that the Civic Type-R is just really late to the Civic model range. I know a guy who hated his 08 Civic so much that he kept it for six weeks then we drove up to Edinburgh to swap (with a £1,000) it for an o3 plate BMW E46 diesel tourer.

It's cost- and environment-prohibitive to operate a lot of cool cars in the UK compared to the US, so there is always give and take.

When they first came out it was refreshing with the front end, door handles and exhausts but it's so old now I don't even look at it anymore.
I was thinking about the Civic earlier when reading about Cadillac 'trolling' the German brands and that it's not even a subject matter worth talking about where I am and couldn't help feel the Civic isn't either. It's a little too late to the party.

I still think it looks excellent to be honest. The new Astra and Focus are so damn dull (althought the new Focus facelift helped) it still sticks out to me.
