I was just cruising along. This section of road is about 3 miles of straightaway with a 55mph speed limit.
I notice a Ford Transit far ahead trying to make a left. He had plenty of space and no traffic from the other direction. He doesn't move. I get closer and closer.
He rolls out a little.
Then goes for it.
I narrowly avoid a convergence of two vehicles. I had to swerve into the shoulder to avoid the guy. For those unaware, 55 is fast in this car. Butt clenchingly so when you need to perform evasive maneuver pattern Beta Four.

Nice drawings! What "Convergent" does, obviously, is converge upon you. Sounds like the guy with the hat's doing a bang-up job. The very same thing happened to me about thirty years ago, on the occasion of the last time I ever rode a motorcycle. I missed the Buick but the shoulder was real rough so when I went off the road I ended up going flying and landed head-first. Hooray for big-ass Bell helmets, no kidding.

We get that all the time up here in Vermont. People so cautious, they ironically pull out right in front of you. And just like you, I'm muttering to myself as I approach. "Don't do it... don't do it..."
