This !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! says he wants to buy the Book Tower, Book Building, Penobscot Building, Albert Kahn Building and the Fisher Building. Those buildings total 2436000 square feet, and would cost (in my totally uneducated guess) at least $50 million. On top of the 3.5 square foot Packard Plant he already has, which has a restoration estimate of $420 million. Holy hell, thats a lot of money to scrape together. And even more square footage to manage.

Too soon to tell if he's good crazy or bad crazy. But he did manage to cover all the back taxes and crap on Packard and he's on track to getting all the permits needed to move forward with that, so he's done more to save that building than anyone.

God speed and good luck. I'll believe it when I see it, and not a second before.

Well, he doesn't have to do all of them at once. He could just be buying them while they can be had cheap, and then mothballing them until he's ready to do something (which is what a large portion of Detroit's real estate owners have been doing for decades). Maybe finish the Packard plant redevelopment, then move on to the next one.
