is there anything special about this to justify the price, other than a piece of aftermarket fiberglass? thats like 3-4 times the original msrp right?

964 Speedsters aren't exactly common.
I found 2 more for sale, 1 with 19k miles for $239,000 and 1 with 36k miles for $150,000 .
I mean, that's a lot for what is effectively an appearance package on a regular 964, so I get what you're saying.
Maybe they're so expensive because you have to be under 5 feet tall to sit in the thing with the top up?

it was factory fiberglass so while it may look aftermarket, it's actually OE.
Jerry Seinfeld sold his museum quality example in 2010 for 100k. Back then 'regular' speedsters were selling for $50k. While this is a nice car, I'm not sure it's museum quality so it has jumped 3-4 times in value in 5 years.
