Most of us love using both feet

There's something to be said about a level of comfort where you no longer care about performance. I love using both feet and both hands to drive a proper manual. But tonight in my Grand Marquis, I drove with "no feet" and one hand. Of course I kept my foot ready to brake in the event of an emergency, and kept one hand on the wheel. I set the cruise to just a bit slower than the traffic. Going slightly slower meant I didn't have to brake cause I was never gaining up on somebody's bumper. I was able to slouch and stretch out. Having a couch-like seat, soft suspension, and plenty of room made it amazingly comfortable.

once its in 6th gear...

and sometimes use my right foot to play with the clutch...

i have a manual sports car.

but i also have a big(gish) gt cruiser, with an automatic transmission, plush leather seating, wood console, cruise control (that miraculously works), and a v12 for hauling down the highway with enough torque and power to overtake easily from 75 up to triple digits.

of course, because its a jaguar, the concentration that wouldve gone toward matching revs, and eye-right hand-left foot coordination goes to a hawk-like surveillance of all the gauges and dials, and an almost canine auditory and olfactory monitoring of any untoward noises and smells emanating from the engine bay. :)

My brother has one of these. As much as I love my stick shift car, it's pretty nice to just cruise in that. I love American land yachts.
