I like everything about this vehicle except for the tacky badging. Also, the interior is a bit of a mess. That being said, I'm sure this company could make a decent profit from selling this conversion kit.

Yeah, that interior is brutal. Would've been much better had it just been left stock.
That exterior is the goods, though.

They could also make a decent profit by offering the wagon in the US.

My thoughts exactly.

I wish that were true, my friend. Unfortunately, the U.S. doesn't seem to buy wagons.

Such a depressing fact...

I wonder how the new Audi Allroad is selling
Maybe the US buys slightly raised wagons
![]() 02/27/2015 at 17:56 |

Indeed.

Well, the CTS-V wagon did sell decently well.

It looks better in red. Plus the red car is more legit.

Ah, reminds me of the E91 M3 conversion, which was more of an OEM+ conversion.. But the C63 looks great!

That looks really nice.

But I guess not well enough because GM axed it :(

Nice. Have you seen this?

Really? I thought it just ended with regular production of that generation of CTS.
![]() 02/27/2015 at 18:22 |

Don't they still as a BTO? I remember jalopnik reviewing it a while back.
![]() 02/27/2015 at 18:23 |

Oh I hope I'm wrong!
I thought I read they will not be making a CTS-V wagon using the new platform
![]() 02/27/2015 at 18:23 |

BTO?

Build To Order.
![]() 02/27/2015 at 18:26 |

No, I don't think you can order a C63 AMG Black Series Wagon.
You never could. What are you talking about
![]() 02/27/2015 at 18:32 |

Maybe not the black series, but you can definitely get the AMG. Jalopnik reviewed it, as did several other outlets, and I remember them saying you had to go to the dealer and do the BTO thing if you really wanted one.

yes, great article! Speedhunters always brings some good reads. They had some really interesting articles about the Nismo headquarters in Japan that I read a while back, lots of great pictures.

That's an E-Class.
![]() 02/27/2015 at 19:02 |

That may be true but I was referring to last generation.

They do indeed.
I remember that article. In fact, it was because of this photo from that article that I finally started to love the R34.

According to their website, Mercedes only sells the E-class as a wagon.

I see. I was referring to that one too and thinking the sales must not been good enough for GM if they do elect to not create a new CTS-V wagon.
![]() 02/27/2015 at 19:31 |

Well, I remember reading somewhere that they did sell enough of them to make the project profitable. However, it definitely was a small number and probably wasn't enough to justify one for this generation. Also, here's the article you were probably referring to:

I think that might have been it. Good find.
That would be a bummer if GM axes it despite it being profitable simply because sales numbers weren't big enough for them.
They should keep it for the Chevy fans who love the V cars and love wagons.
![]() 02/27/2015 at 19:52 |

It would be indeed. I think, if nothing else, models like that bring interest to the brand.
They should keep it for people who love great looking, practical cars that are terrifically quick. Haha.

They are so quick and practical that you can drive them to the track on the weekend with all the tools and food you need, kick butt, then drive home!

Exactly.
