The old ones were so bad that gravity could move the joints compares to the new ones that I could hardly move with all my might.

Kinja'd!!!

It also stopped the hallow clanking noise that came through my wheel when I went over a series of bumps.

We also looked into my "leaking" power steering line. One of the clamps were loose. That's it. My dad listened to the inspextion guy and ordered a new line for nothing.

This all being fixed means it should actually pass inspection this time!! All we have to do is reset the emissions stuff. We looked up how and it's a stupid process that involves idling for :2.10 then driving at 20-30 mph for :3.15 then going 40-60 mph for :15 then stopping and idling in drive for :5. Quite complicated.

I wonder if those were the original tie rods. Mine were bad at 100K. So either they have been bad for a really long time, they actually lasted a little while longer then I think or the last owner had got a really bad replacement pair.

Exciting that you're close to passing inspection! Anything else you have to do afterwards to officially have it running on the road?

Good luck getting her on the road! Sucks you've had to wait so long to get it registered. Any luck getting the PO to reimburse you for the inspections?

I had two of these in my shop and they weren't helping at all. I ended up buying one of those propane torpedo heaters. It raised the temp in my shop by a good 40 degrees, from twenties to where probably in the 60's and could work in a tshirt and jeans with no jacket. I was actually sweating at one point.

It could be worse, you could have to take it in to have it done.

YAY for the interwebz, just saved you some time and $.
