Cool!
There are BIG differences between a ZZ502 and a World/Shafiroff/Sonny's/etc engine. Not even the same block.

They are both derivatives of the Mark IV big block Chevy, but here are some basic differences:
1.) One is a GM bowtie block the other is a World Merlin block. The World block has splayed mains, upgraded cooling, priority oiling, and I think a thicker deck.
2.) ZZ has 290cc runner heads, World has 320. World has bigger valves.
3.) Probably a much larger cam in the 540 if it's anything like the other crates.
4.) ZZ has a medium rise dual plane, 540 has a high rise single plane manifold.
5.) Basically there's few (if any) GM parts in the 540. 540 probably makes over 100hp more than the ZZ.
Throw some ear plugs in your pocket for this one. No shit.

It seems quieter than his 389 Tri power 1965 Pontiac GTO for some reason.

Maybe he opted for a smaller cam or lower compression. Or runs 4 mufflers. LOL.
