Hey guys, a few weeks ago I bought a new RC car, a Traxxas Slash. It's my first trophy truck style RC (I also own a rock crawler and a drifter.)

First impressions are that it's friggin fast. Like twice the speed of my drift car. It can also handle a beating. I've already crashed it a ton of times and driven it through numerous puddles.

This video is mostly my friend driving on our first couple of trips to the track. We're just messing around, but honestly, neither of us are very good as you'll see from the video. Anyway, hope you enjoy it.

2WD or 4x4?

It's the 4x4 Platinum Edition.

Those are so friggin' cool. My roommate has an OG T-Maxx and it can do 60 in a straight line. So much fun to mess around with it.

That looks fun! Can you mount a go pro on the truck? That would be cool to see.

I've got the same 4x4 PE and it is fast and with a good sized lipo you can get a 20 min run out of the thing. I can attest that they are very tough and will take a beating. Only suggestion is to upgrade the A arms to a stronger plastic. It's the only part I've managed to break. I think I went with RPM A arms. Enjoy!

I love the Slasher! My dad and I have a Nitro Rustler and it's so much fun.

The Slasher is the one we're looking at next, but at the same time we keep throwing around an engine swap in ours.

And no matter how much more wasteful and expensive it is, I will always prefer the gas models. There's just something about them.

Badass. Yeah, i think the non-scale looking trucks like the T-Maxx just work a little bit better and are a little faster, but I like the scale(ish) looks of the Slash.

And of course it's been stupid fun so far.

I need a GoPro first! Honestly though i'd want to work out something to keep the vibrations from getting to the camera, i bet if you just strapped a gopro on there it'd be kind of blurry without taking care of that first.

Thanks! Good to hear about the durability. I've heard that the A-arms break, maybe i'll order a nice set just to have around when they eventually go.

More fun that it really should be......hahah!

No problem! The other thing I've heard is to really keep on-top of the ball bearings. I have not had this issue but apparently some people have rust issues after running in water. Just something to look out for. Mine is two years old and still running strong.
