...is the new Ford Ranger being sold yet? Because this was definitely a Ford Ranger. Spotted in Howell, MI.

Which is why it was weird. I thought it was a Toyota, until I saw ranger in the back. Had to turn around for the pic.

Hasn't even been shown or confirmed, that's just a foreign market Ranger.

It's probably a mule.

With Ford in Dearborn, there are a bunch of M plate undisguised Rangers running around. Nothing whatsoever about it coming to the US, yet.

Ford uses it. I don't remember why, but I don't believe this the first new Ranger spotting in Michigan.

Ford discontinued the Ranger in the US a long time ago. Whatever that is won't be a Ranger.

It said ranger across the tail gate, clear as day. I thought it was a funky looking Toyota til I saw 'RANGER'. whether it's meant for the U.S., is another story.

Test mule/Ford higher up vehicle. Manufacturer plates let you get away with a lot.

On a side note, Roush (Tuning for Ford's) has a few Focus RS's (euro only ones from a few years ago) at their shop

Since others have already mentioned the manufacturer theory, it's possible (but unlikely) someone drive it up from Mexico or South America, where they are sold, on a temporary visa or something. I don't know what the rules are and I'm about to leave for work and can't look them up, but given the number of vehicular crossings to/from Mexico, I imagine there's a number of Mexico-market vehicles entering the US on a daily basis, but probably have limited amounts of time to stay.

That said, at a prior place of employment that reconditioned cars for sale by a dealer chain (but not part of the dealer chain itself) I worked on a VW Bora, the Jetta's Mexican twin/cousin. At first I thought someone had installed a Bora badge on the Jetta, then was clued in after doing some more research.

Yeah that must be the Ford Australia or Ford EU version. It looks like a nissan to me (US jalopniks :P)

It's a rest of the world edition to be accurate, it's sold nearly everywhere.

Yes, of course it's like a Nissan. Pick ups are all much of a muchness unless you have those huge American ones.
