For everyone talking shit about the Escalade, the 2015 is a miraculous improvement. For example, I sold one to a customer who had a Lexus LX, and was comparing us to a new LX, a Rangie, and a Merc. Cadillac is on its way back. And the current flagship (yes thats what the Escalade is right now) attests to that.

Perhaps that says more about your salesmanship than the cars? :P

That is too true. In person the presence is immeasurable.

You're not in BC are you? I could use some help after trying to test drive an ATS twice at my local GM dealer.

Looks great in person.
People ho-hum about Cadillac, but the Escalade makes X5s and GLs look downright anonymous.

sat in one at the auto show this year and I was downright impressed with the interior. This one had the optional wood trim and damn was it good quality. Wish they would put the wood on the steering wheel, would much rather have that than a heated steering wheel, but that's my only complaint.
would love to get one and throw some BFG mud terrains on it.

I'm actually in Virginia. What do you mean trying to test drive twice?

The great part is the new drivability. Sportiness of an X6 and luxury of a Mercedes GL.

Kona brown with the natural wood you mean?

Went in a couple of weeks ago and after 10 minutes of looking over an ATS I was surprised that no one came by. I asked the receptionist if she could find me someone because I had some questions about what the service program entailed (forget what you call it). After 10 minutes or so I let her know we were talking off and it was no big deal...we understood if the sales guys were busy.
Fast forward to this last weekend. We were out test driving. After a few other stops and drives(the Q50S hybrid is an awesome 360hp robot), we decided to go back and actually drive the ATS. Went back and looked at the same black 2.0 in the showroom and the same thing happened. After 10 minutes of closing doors loudly and making my best "seriously contemplating" pose still no sign of a sales person....except for the two chatting at the popcorn cart. I didn't bother asking them to help me because I was kinda miffed that I wasn't acknowledged so we left. Weird eh?

Where in BC? Had basically the same experience at a Ford dealer last year (also BC) trying to drive a new Mustang...the Infiniti place across the street let me loose in the first Q50s they took delivery of!
Later ended up driving two Mustangs at a(nother) fairly slimy Ford dealer, ironically enough.

Very weird and definitely unprofessional. Go back again, and ask to speak to a manager. They need to know what the salesman are (or aren't) doing.

Good idea. I don't want to come off as one of those customers so maybe I'll take a more subtle approach and call the sales manager to schedule a test drive.

Might be worth it. But they're gonna try to route you to a salesperson...

Yeah but then at least I can tell him why I think I have to call ahead of time. That's my passive aggressiveness coming out. Ha. Anyway, I know your post was about the Escalade but I'm looking forward to driving an ATS 3.6 with the sport suspension. CTS-V is too much of a stretch unfortunatey.

yea, thats that Semi aniline leather. Kona Brown is Cadillac's best interior color by far and I love it. Had to get it on my CTS
