Wife: "Watcha' doin'?"
Me: "Looking at my pictures from the Detroit Auto Show."
Wife: "What car is that?"
Me: "That's the new Mercedes-Maybach."
Wife: "It looks like it won the quilting bee."

I bet that pillow on the passenger seat is worth more than my car.

I predict the quilted interiors in modern luxury cars will age poorly, especially in an extremely overdone case like this one.

It's so beautiful. And even reasonably priced in that class of automobiles.

I'm now very curious and will probably find out once the car is finally released in April-ish.

A column shifter is nice, but they should;ve used the opportunity to make a front bench seat :)

PS: Sorry for the window glass reflection. The window was rolled up (of course), and the car was locked (double of course), even during Industry Days when I was at the show.

If you mean as far as style and aesthetics are concerned I think you quite possibly may be correct. But if you mean as far as durability goes I'm going to guess otherwise; most Mercedes interiors are very durable for what they are especially compared to other competing vehicles *cough* Lexus, BMW *cough*.

As stated in my reply to Ashish Walla, I meant the former.

There are people who get champagne flutes standard in their cars, and I'm happy with an aux input as my only extra...
Maybe someone will find out how much it costs, we need to get the FP guys on it.

Oh gotcha. I didn't see that before. You may very well be right. Might end up going the way of baggy jeans and hammer pants.

It will probably look lame in five years, downright stupid in ten, and then in twenty years the Oppos of 2035 will think it's the coolest thing ever.
