I drove an early e65 version of this car when I worked for a BMW shop in high school. I don't remember exactly what the problem was, but the car had some kind of issue under heavy acceleration, so after the mechs fixed it, I had to free the beast pretty good to make sure the problem was fixed. Gotta say, it was one of the most wonderful and unique driving experiences of my life. Such effortless power. The V12 7-series has always been hugely underrated. I've driven a few S600s of various vintages since then, and despite the Bangle butt, I'd the Bimmer over all of them.
