The new M4 is much better looking than the car it replaces.

Especially in this color, and with these aftermarket wheels. Also, in before "Something something tire pressures something hurr-durr."

To me the Sedan always looked better on the M3. Shame that they didn't build an E46 M3 Sedan :/

I don't know if it is the angle, or if that rear offset is wrong but it looks like it is just a few millimeters over being flush with the body, which really bothers me for some reason.

The wheels may stick out a *tiny* bit, but it's mostly the camera angle.

Nice looks indeed. But is the I6 turbo better than the V8 in the car it replaces?

From what I've heard, it is. But some people hate it and think it's a worse engine because it doesn't sound as nice.

I have not had a chance to hear it in person yet but the videos I've watched it sounds wicked. But yeah, sound is kind of a big thing. Very much subjective but a big thing nonetheless.

It looks huge parked next to an E92. I can't wait for the M2, even though it will have less power it should be right sized.

Still refusing to call it an M4.

Can we really be sure this is a BMW, and not a body-kitted Hyundai, since it's apparently not in a handicapped spot or taking up multiple spaces? Wait, he has no front license plate, who does this entitled person think he is (deducing he's not in one of the 19 states where you don't need them based on the period architecture and foliage or lack thereof) , BMW confirmed! (You let the air out of the 1.5 p.s.i. joke, so...)(used to own Z3, tempted to yell at drivers misbehaving in BMWs by yelling "I had a BMW and I didn't drive like a jerk!," then remembering they'll probably scoff at a Z3, if not also at whatever I'm in currently that's not a BMW).

Glad to hear it. As you said, well-chosen color. I like the styling, but I was surprised at how large it seems in person—model bloat is hitting BMW hard, and of course that explains the 2-Series' rise as the driver's car. If enough good guys manage to buy the M4, it'll help remove the stigma that does seem to attach to the marque now. I hear a lot of "BMW drivers" anecdotes out here where they are common, I can only imagine what a pariah one must feel in places where domestic / non luxury cars are the norm.

I need to drive one, but I can say that the regular 4-series is abysmal across the non-M range compared to the E9X... Appallingly so, it was shocking how much it felt like a Toyota in that it felt you were commuting, not driving.

EDIT: Oh and they're getting massive. It works well for the E39 M5-esque size M3, but the coupe is just too huge to me.

I can't get on board with the way that the headlights touch the grille, or the straight line cut at the front of the hood. Seems very "shouty", too. I've always preferred the Q-ship Ms, like the E39 M5.

I'm much more interested in seeing what they've come up with for the M2.
