In an age of excess the MKII was a welcome regal restraint in styling.A gorgeous car driven by a true gentleman. Worth every penny.

Oh man. That is pretty.

That's the type of car that requires a Brooks Bros 3 piece suit and proper Fedora to drive.

Gentleman's name is Barry, and that's a one of two Continental Convertibles.

He has a thing for "Continentals" like this 1955 Porsche 356 Continental Cabriolet

Considering it was more expensive than a Cadillac or Rolls at the time you certainly had to have money to buy one!

Wow.........I didn't know that.

He has quite a stunning collection. The 4 door Lincoln is gorgeous as well.
You don't often see a Porsche 356 parked next to a Continental but it the variety must be very enjoyable.

Nothing wrong with that!

A Cadillac at the time was about 5k maybe a tad more and Rolls was even less. At about 10k this car was not cheap and Ford still lost money.

That is excellent.

So interesting. I'd think the Rolls would cost the most.

If I remember correctly it took longer for Ford to paint the Continental than it took Cadillac to build a Deville. Just to show you the quality that went into the MKII

Holy cow..............no wonder it cost so much.
