Black '94 sedan 5 speed w/ about 250k (originally auto but I did a swap over Christmas break)

Hey, we're car buddies! I have a '95 in black. A step up from my last car.
I recommend swapping the standard shift knob for the ZHP 5-speed knob. Slightly shorter throws and a nice, heavy feel.

Sweet! I am planning on getting the ZHP knob in the near future, but I have had a few other things I've been doing and I haven't had $80 to spend on knob yet.

Ultimately it's worh it. Next step for me is a short-shift kit and total audio overhaul.

not bad not bad, mines a 325i as well , original engine in yours ? I did an engine swap when I did the trans swap cause the old engine had a few things (potential blown HG, bad water pump and starter) and threw a '95 engine with 141k in instead
Also, when you have the money I would totally recommend looking for a 3.23 limited slip diff for yourself, I put 3.23 in when I did my swap and it totally changes the car, they call it the poor mans supercharger, and it's still great gearing for highway travel

I just did my budgeted audio upgrade this weekend. New speakers and wiring, sub between the rear seats, and an amp in the trunk

Is it just me or are your roundels a bit off.

I have the original engine and transmission, the PO was restoring the car and rebuilt the car mechanically before his wife made him sell the it. When I bought it needed quite a bit of cosmetic work. I got the exterior looking grea within my first month of ownership, and the interior sorted from the hellish state it was last weekend. It's crazy how cheap parts are at pull-a-part vs. forums & ebay.
I have the cold weather package with the 3.15 LSD so much of what I have read says there will be little difference if I upgrade to the 3.23.

I think you mean the kidneys, the roundel is the badge. I agree they do look off, some of the clips on the back are broken so they move side to side. hoping I don't loose one before I get a chance to replace them.

Oops, yeah I don't know why I said roundels. At least you have both, I can't stand when people drive around with only one.

oh yeah if you've already got the 3.15 don't bother, I was assuming stock open diff cause the cwp was relatively rare. Luckily my car was next to perfect cosmetically so I just had to worry about the mechanicals
