Everything as it should be - nice. On a side note, I have that exact same engine stand, but it was a PITA to move around and not that stable, so I added a crossbar and big casters to the leg - worked out pretty well.

Hey. Hey buddy. What about me? I'm not a sports car, but that doesn't mean I don't need some more power too. You're not gonna forget about me, are you? Are you?
* mumbles about that dumb camaro always getting all the love and attention while he does all the hard work*

L79 factory GM cam, it's still near perfect so labeled the lifters and keep the cam for another motor.

Gotcha. Wasn't sure if you needed to change springs or not

the stand is ok for small blocks but we have to put support on it for anything bigger

not even my truck, that's my grandparents rig. I've tried talking him into some mods for the 5.3

I have Z28 springs in the heads. All our small blocks have them.

What made you decide on the 30-30? Just nostalgia?

Even with the Rover on it (sub 430lb without accessories) I didn't feel like manhandling it without improvements. Too much binding and crab-walking on that weenie caster. We'd had a Benz I4 block on it, but the weight was down lower then.

going more Z/28, the motor will be as close to a 302 as I can take it without doing too much to the #s matching motor. I have everything to put it back to a 275hp but the thing ran like garbage. It will look factory and probably fool people of they don't know what they are looking at

I'd love the but can't afford $8k in induction and thats for a reproduction setup. Last original I saw sell was over $10k

I know, I'm kidding around.
I know someone with an original with date matching carbs, linkage, and air cleaner and he said it's a $14000 setup.

it's ridiculous what they go for, I'd love to build a 302 with the cross ram someday. I'm looking for reproduction headers for my Camaro like the ones that were offered in 67/68 and came in the trunk.
