It has wheels, it burns gasoline, and I'm looking forward to figuring it out.

It's a used Blackhawk quad with a 313cc single cylinder pushing 27.5 HP at 6250 RPM. It started up just fine but she's sputtering with engine load past half throttle. I'm thinking that either the spark plug has been fouled while sitting, or the high speed needle needs some adjusting. Anyone have experience with Tillotson carbs? I need to dig up a manual.

You guys like my ceiling winch? A 500 IB 110 volt Harbor Freight special.

Dude! Awesome. I seriously regret not going on a flight in one of these when I was in Mexico last month.

I'm super jealous. Good luck getting it working!

That's the plan. I get the motor running well, have fun riding around on the grass. Do some kiting with the wing. Practice taxing with the wing. Then get some good instruction and do some real flying. The wing is a big 33 meter Velocity Elektra.

I DO like your ceiling winch. how's it been for you? what with it being harbor freight and all I'm always cautious.

It's been working fine for the last eights years. It seems well built, I built a backing plate for it with some eight inch anchor screws that screw into my log walls. The ceiling 2x8 uses (12) truss anchor screws attached to those four ceiling scissor trusses. The quad only seems to weigh about 80 pounds, so it should keep it off the truck just fine. They are only $100:

Nice, ever make it up to AirVenture? Stopping by the ultralight field and watching takeoffs/landings for a little while is always a must for me.
