"Haimatox" (haimatox)

As the title suggests, I'm looking for an office chair. Currently I have an Office Star 5500, which has been doing its job. It's comfortable enough, but it lacks some support, and the armrests are somewhat flimsy.
As such, I'm looking for a more "full-size" chair which has full back and, if possible, head support. My budget is $300 maximum, which significantly limits my options.
I was looking at the Ikea Markus ($200), but the Ikea-ness worries me as far as quality and durability. Also, it doesn't have adjustable armrests, which could be an issue if they don't reach high enough, since I use my armrests when using the computer. Any suggestions?
Here's a Porsche Macan courtesy car I saw a month or two ago. As you can tell, the dealership sticker on the back has the outline of what appears to be an LMP1 car. However, it does not appear to be a Porsche LMP1 car. Strange.

IKEA makes a good office chair, but you should just start looking for a $300 used Aeron chair.

Holy shit that's awesome! And expensive... I'd definitely have to go used. Is it a full-back?

I'm going to be a dick and suggest a standing desk. Maybe a standing desk and a cheap recliner for when you are sitting between work.

I'd recommend looking at fully mesh chairs, they hold up much better than their foam counterparts.

A standing desk would be a good investment if I weren't going off to college in the fall. A chair can be disassembled (I would imagine) and packed in with my other belongings.

Full mesh as in the back and the seat are both mesh?

I've liked my Tempur-Pedic desk chairs. Very comfortable and very adjustable.
From Staples but they're available all over the place

I wish I could... But I'm not sure if I trust my fabricational skills enough to do that.

Visit a junkyard, take a carseat, turn it into an office chair.

It's pretty easy to do it on the cheap.

In a dorm, a shelf can double as a standing desk, then you also don't have an office chair taking up a bunch of space. In my room at college one semester I put a bookshelf that was laying around on top of my normal desk and made a standing desk that way. Office chairs are pretty awkward to pack up. also this: http://www.pctabletote.com/

I have a Steelcase Leap that's like this. Trust me, it's definitely the way to go.
Try to avoid leather chairs. They give you swamp ass.

The ones that we've had in the office are, however it looks like the executive ones may be more full-back.

Yup, mesh on the bottom holds up very well.

Believe it or not but I picked up one of these folding chairs at sam's club for like $25 and for what it is it is surprisingly comfortable. If you're in college with limited space and moving you might find this is perfect for you. It's worth trying out at $25 to see if it works for you first before trying to find one of the Herman Miller Aeron clones (which is absolutely what you should do if you don't like this chair.)

I came here to suggest the Aeron until I read the budget part. My dad has one in his home office and it is noiiiice.
