Came across an ad for the 2016 cx-5 (which looks great btw) and that made me peruse !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for a bit. Imagine my surprise when I saw that it costs more to lease a 2014 CX-9 over a 2015 CX-9.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Two glaring questions... WHY!? And why would anyone do this?!

Get a Mazda3 in manual. You'll be pleased

The answer lies right above it. 2014 car values are going to fall, fast. They're already putting 4000$ on the hood if you buy it so that makes the 2014s worth that much less already. Or consider it this way - that 2014 will always have "2014" in its name, even if it was bought and titled in 2015. So at the end of the three year lease, it's early 2018 and you go to turn it in so they look up the values for........a 2014. They don't want that 2014 to be leased at this point, they want it to be bought. It has taken such a hit in depreciation already.

Also, good luck in finding a '14 with the options you want nearby.

When my lease is up in October, I’m hoping to find a 2014 Mazda5 in manual...
