Another reason why I prefer manual window cranks and locks. If she had those instead of that electric rubbish she could have rolled down the window to equalize the pressure, and then either crawled out or opened the door and walked out.

It looks like most of the car was filled with water anyway and E46 door locks are mechanical so firm pressure should have opened the door anyway, let alone the "hysterical strength" she would have from adrenaline.
