Also, the tail cam on the A380 is sooooo cool. We had it on a Malaysian Airlines flight, but the infotainment system only let us see it on takeoff and landing.

Yup, I'm landing in Auckland at 2pm on Monday. First time flying in a A380, and it's quite cool. Also Emirates has massive legs space and even at 6ft3, I have no problems sitting or sleeping correctly (though their Economy seats are harsher than a German's car ride).

I've posted quite a few on transcontinental flights in the US. I normally don't bother with inflight Wi-Fi anymore.

TBH, it's quite slow and it takes ages to load Oppo (but the WiFi quality might not be the only culprit here, looking at you Kinja), so I think I wouldn't bother either on a normal flight. But I'm on an 19 hour flight here and watching movies and TV shows gets monotonous real quick. They do have a bit of motorsport content though, but not much. Like Goodwood 2014 or documentaries about bike road racing.

be careful at customs/biosecurity! They're really hard on food, I know someone who accidentally forgot about an apple in his bag and failed to declare it. He landed with a $300 fine!
