Just came back from the bar. For some weird reason a parent decided that it was a good place to host a 16th birthday party. A buffet with food and a max of 3 alcoholic drinks each, some taxi service is going take them to their homes at 1:00 o'clock. Somehow, the kids totally ignored the ribs. The only thing they do right at this place! So we let it slip that before they throw them out, we might take some home. Just to save the planet or some cows or whatever, you know. So I am thinking about just nuking them with a bowl of water to give them back a little moisture. Any other ideas?

I'm not sure nuking them is the way to go. But I'm not sure what the correct way is, either... XD

Oven on low temp, foil wrap them. If they don't have much sauce on them, sprinkle of water inside the foil.

You want to retain the moisture otherwise you'll end up with jerky on the bone.

Wait... who has a birthday party for a 16 yo at a bar? Maybe European standards are different but it sure seems strange to me. BTW, I agree with low temp in oven or other type of convection cooker. Wrapped tightly in foil to keep in moisture.

I cook my ribs at 195F, wrapped tightly in foil, with a mild marinade sauce or a BBQ sauce to keep them moist and infuse flavor, for 2-3 hours. Fall off the bone.

Until a year or so ago the legal drinking age was 16 in Holland. Now it's 18.

LOW HEAT.

Cover with sauce, wrap in aluminum foil and bake at 200F or so.

Bummer. Why'd it change? I mean, I reckon 18's an okay drinking age - that's what it is here, to buy booze at least - but most people start a good chunk of time before then, anyway.

Don't really know tbh. Mostly some stuff about ' brains not being fully developed until etc etc etc. ' Fair points, but all they did was move the drinking from a controlled environment (bar) to a uncontrolled environment ( someones shed/house/whatever).

Interesting. What about pot use? What is the legal age on that?

18 as well I believe. Not that it's hard to come by when you are younger.

Eehm.. So I've heard that from a friend.

Drinks used to be 16 for beer and wine and 18 for anything above 15% alcohol. Now it's just all 18+.
