I've been working on a prototype for an application to share and find cars & coffee events (or really any car-related events).
I'd like to gauge your interest to see if this is something worth working on. I'd really appreciate your help with feedback, suggestions, and any other insights.
Just a few notes:
It doesn't have a name, yet. I'd really like input on that.
It's just a prototype, so you won't hurt any feelings if you find something broken or if you don't like it. If any parts of it are confusing to use, it's because it's poorly designed; not because you're not smart enough to figure it out.
Any search (e.g. events within 20 miles of Boston, MA) can be saved to Google Calendar/iCal, etc. and will be updated with new events as they come up.
Anyone can submit events right now. They're not moderated or anything, but I do plan on adding some sort of moderation, or authentication. (This is one of those areas where I need help with ideas).
There is some test data in there for events near Boston. (Larz Anderson Museum in Brookline, MA and some Herb Chambers events in Sudbury).
EDIT: This is just a prototype so I'll do my best in trying to keep all the data in there. If I do end up making significant changes, it's possible that I may lose some of it.
UPDATED URL: It's currently hosted here: !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .Also, if any of you guys are Rails developers, I'd be more than happy to share the project.
Thank you.

Call it Petrolator. Like percolator. I'll look at it here in a sec
I looked at it, whats the format for submitting events?

I really like that name!
Under the search form there is a link to "Add an event". I don't think I did a good job with adding any guidance as to what should be in those fields.
Name should be the title of the event (e.g. Larz Anderson Cars and Coffee)
Description should be a burb about the event. That's what the gibberish is on this page https://sheltered-retreat-7541.herokuapp.com/events/35 .
Location Name is something like Larz Anderson Auto Museum
and the Address can be anything that Google Maps understands as a location. Usually a street address like (15 Newton Street, Boston, MA).
I think the event submission is one of the weakest parts. I am thinking I need to have better names for the fields and example data. I'd also like to add Google Maps autocomplete to the address field. It does a great job at taking address input and completing it with zipcodes, etc.
Thank you for the feedback, and that name!

+2 on the name Percolator. I can submit a lot of Northeastern events.
Can you add subsections for additional shows that aren't necessarily Cars & Coffee? I go to many many many many many cruise nights all over, and I've been using Google Calendar to keep track of it, but if there's a program I can use and tell other people to use, that would be awesome.

Northeastern as in Northeastern University?
I'd say the more events the better! What do you think about tagging different types of events? Or maybe that's overkill?

One of the main features is that whatever you search for (e.g. 50 miles from Boston, MA) can be saved as a calendar. Is that something that you think you'd use? I tried importing those calendars into Google Calendar and into the Calendar app on OS X and on my iPhone and it works as I expected it to.
Are the links that I added to save searches to a Calendar obvious?

Ill look closer when I get home, Im about to leave work soon. I meant Northeasern US, I go to tons of shows all spring/summer/fall, so not just Cars & Coffee. I have one calendar already for the year, several more to be posted over the coming weeks.

I'm thinking of working on this again shortly. How do you want credit for coming up with the name?
