my girl just got pulled over for using her GPS at a motherfucking stoplight. $310 ticket. Fuck that shit, it is snowing out, and she wasn't moving. So she got pulled over in a totally unsafe spot pulling out of a stoplight so they could make that chedda by enforcing a safety law. What in the fuck.

I know the law in Utah is interpreted as a moving violation and that if you are stopped you are not moving and can't be fined. Strait from the district judges mouth. fight that sucka

if she's not moving is she "driving"? I could understand if she's stopped and supposed to be moving but if she's stopped and is supposed to be stopped couldnt you argue that shes not "driving"

Not to mention its a GPS, I know in NY if it were a cell phone you'd have no chance but with a GPS I think there should definitely be some leeway.

I need to start being careful - whenever I see a cop sitting on the side of the road*, and I'm traveling with my young son, I say out loud, "You keep enhancing that revenue, officer!"

* There's a road I drive literally twice a day. On the way home it rolls slightly downhill, through a very wide and long s-curve. Cops hang out at the bottom, and somewhat rightfully so since there's a school there. Speed limit is 30, and you have to ride the brakes all the way down to keep even 35. I like to think 35 won't get me pulled over, but some days who knows? Minnetonka is a slow little town.
