We've gotten a veritable crap-load of crazy dumb fast SUVs, crossovers, and trucks over the last 10 years, sometimes it's hard keep track. Lets run down down who's the fastest, for the purpose of this list I've ranked them by power/weight (or rather weight/power). I've also included their top speeds.

10) Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT

9) Porsche Macan

8) Mercedes M36 AMG

7) Dodge Ram SRT10

6) Mercedes GLA45 AMG

5) Mercedes G65 AMG

4) Range Rover Sport SVR

3) BMW X5M and X6M

2) Porsche Cayenne Turbo S

1) Holden HSV GTS Maloo

I limited it to the latest gen of each model, hyphenated model years denote the start of latest power outputs. I've included a Rav4 for the sake of perspective (it has better power/weight than a FR-S!). I would have loved to include more Holden and Ford Utes, but finding good info on them is next to impossible. I also wanted more El Caminos and Rancheros but their info is even scarcer. The Juke R isn't in the count down because I don't consider it "production."

* denotes an estimated weight ** denotes an estimated weight and net hp

Try Carfolio for more precise weight numbers.

I just guessed those by knocking 100lbs of the weight of a Chevelle/Torino, I'm less 100lbs off according to that site, note bad.

Yeah, not bad at all. Still, it's a great resource. I found it a while back (when it was much less comprehensive) because it was the only place online that lists regular, reliable wheelbase values.

I've founds some specs there before, along with Automobile-Catelog, ZePerfs, Edmunds, AOL, CarandDriver, Wikipedia, Topspeed, Supercars.net, and all sorts of random internet corners. So far I have yet to find one all encompassing good source.

You have forgotten the Infinity FX50! Honestly such an awesome vehicle. So much fun to drive and it's tail-happy in the snow. And that exhaust note!

I find it hilarious that the SRT-10 Ram and my 215hp car have the same top speed.

They made a big deal about that top speed too, to be fair pick up trucks are naturally really unaerodynamic.

Totally different type of performance, beside it's got a pretty poor power/weight ratio.

They made a really big deal about it … which makes it more funny.

But yea its a brick that wasn't originally intended to go fast. Still a brick with over 2x the horsepower though.

I really wish Ford would have done a 3rd Gen Lightning with the 662 horse 5.8 and AWD.

Nice, some good stuff on there.

Factor in price and I would think the SRT JGC would move way up the list.
