This kind of depresses me

I wasn't around to see the 60s

And it was the peak of human civilization

I've discussed it with some of my dear friends and it truly was an extraordinary time. In car terms, I view it as the perfect time. The designers were still focused on making beautiful machines instead of ones that were super aerodynamic or efficient and the technology was there to make these gorgeous, yet complex shapes. In fact, think of the cars that we all revere today. No matter our age, we would probably include many from this time period.

Lamborghini Miura, Shelby Cobra, Shelby GT500, Ferrari 250 GTO, Ferrari 250 GT/L Lusso, Ferrari Dino, Ferrari 275 GTB/4, Jaguar E-Type, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, Porsche 911, Alfa Romeo TZ, Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale, etc.

Best car decade ever. Best decade for partying and having fun. Peak decade for the US Economy. 50s were cool but a bit boring. 60s was the decade where the US was fully reaping the rewards of having won WWII. Everything from technology to culture was evolving so quickly in the 60s.
