The red RR had a dog hair coated interior. The dog had even chewed up one of the seats. At least it looks like the guy takes it offroad. The black one reeked of Doritos and some kids had made a mess in the back seat. It only took a quick vacuuming to take care of that.
I'm finally doing work now, so that's nice. Got to do a PDI clean on a 2015 LR4 with 23 miles on it. Basically, you put a protective clear coat on, followed by a RainX coating on the glass. You also get to peel all the plastic off the interior. Pretty easy and pays extremely well. Also, the SC V6 in the LR4 is pretty potent. Don't ask how I know.
This will probably be my last job posts for a while, unless something super cool pops up.

It really is. I just moved into a new apartment that had recently been renovated, and I keep finding little ones on the appliances. It's like a little easter egg every time you find one.

Believe it or not, some people use their massive SUVs to haul their families around.

Our LR4 had it all: Dog hair everywhere, chewed up interior panels, various coffees and sodas making the shifter a bit sticky, pinstripes down the sides from our....hardy brush and narrow trails.
Oh, and it ran out of gas with 47 miles remaining showing on the display. That was a fun surprise.

With the typical American family, you need all of that space.

PDIs are great and take no time. Had 51 Ford Ka's to do (black, blue and silver) to be courtesy cars shared over two Ford dealerships.
We were given 25-30 per car and got it down to 15 by the third day. Remove delivery wax and stickers, good wash down, dry off, clean windows, cheap filler wax to the body, dress the tyres and a vacuum out. The rest of the day we just chilled. But that was my younger days.

PDI's for use take roughly 30-45 minutes. Wash, peel plastic, wipe on the wax-type stuff, do the RainX on the windows, and put protectant on the seats. Then vacuum anything you got on the interior. Commission for us are based on our hourly rate. The PDIs are 2.5 hours, so 25 bucks at my hourly rate. Not bad, since I could do at least 2 an hour, depending on the car. (Range Rovers are slightly larger than a Ka, and F-Types aren't very big)

Yeah, but that's not an excuse to be a slob that doesn't at least try to keep things clean.

True, but it's their car. Most people don't care even a fraction as much as we do. Combine that with little kids and dogs being little kids and dogs, and yeah, some family trucksters get really rough inside. It's always a little sad to see though, especially on a car with an interior as nice as the Range Rover.

Range Rovers are much bigger than a Ka by far. If we had to apply coatings like DiamondBrite or Supaguard we had an extra hour and a half to do it.

I still haven't figured out why Land Rover doesn't offer a carpet package made entirely out of dog hair. I swear at least a quarter of the LR's I've ever been in were so thick with the stuff that you couldn't get out of it without looking like a dog yourself.

The red one looked like it was used for hunting. So that's cool at least.

A ton of people actually use them the way they should be used, which is one of the things I love about LR's.
