...that flags add an incredible amount of drag (and hence, weight) to the car.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

If you ask me, flags on most things are silly. This is no exception.

Sure, it won't kill the transmission like the case with the Harley, since its just for the picture.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

But its silly to have that on a car - on which you spent so much time and money to make fast.

Even if its just for the picture.

UPDATE:

I didn't realize a person was holding it from the inside. I didn't look into this at all.

I just saw a huge flag and charged against the idea like a bull, except with words; and ended up writing a rant about me not liking flag attachments then :D

Touche - that is the only exception I will allow.

The only one!

In my defense, diplomatic flags have class, taste, a purpose and send a clear message (ie; Person riding in these cars are Mr. or Ms. Not-to-be-fucked-with).

In that case, I might shake his hand and not let it go till he gives me the keys to some 700 hp monster for a test drive lol

Huh? It's not like he left it on for the high speed run or anything.

But its silly to have that on a runner - on which you spent so much time training to be fast.

He doesn't even give all the cars he works on back to his customers, so good luck with that, lol

Let me reiterate:

1. Flags on cars look bad. Huge flag on marketing material for a high performance car is silly. Equivalent to having heavy steelies on a show car boasting CF bits and pieces. Even if its just the show car, why would you do that? (both flag picture and steelies) ——-This is my opinion

Diplomatic flags are an exception.

2. Huge flags that are permanently on any car look silly and is a poor decision. ———-This is fact.

First of all, I don't think it's actually fixed to the vehicle, it looks like he's holding it from inside the vehicle:

Kinja'd!!!

Second of all, the reason I used the example of the runner is that the idea is the same. The person is waving their flag after an accomplishment, not implying in any way that their normal mode of operation is to wield it everywhere they go.

"Equivalent to having heavy steelies on a show car boasting CF bits and pieces. Even if its just the show car, why would you do that?"

Same could be said for having a model pose on the hood. That's a lot of extra weight and is dangerous if they were to drive that way!

Yeah, I was talking with someone at Cars and Coffee who was saying his dads friend sent in a GM Suv a few years ago for a package from him, then he got it back, engine blew up in less then a week, so he gave it back to Hennessey (was under one of their warranty's) and..well, that was a few years ago. As far as they know, said SUV is still just sitting at the Hennessey shop..

About models, that's why they insist on slim ones. Weight reduction everywhere lol Im kidding :)

I have heard other people complain about Hennessey. Stories like this scare me from all brands and establishments, not just this one.

These accounts might as well be false - I'm just overly cautious when it comes to large purchases.

Generally I trust massive names, that are too big to really risk messing something up, but I don't trust Hennessey with all the horror story's, and the fact he's actually gone about fixing some of them shows he has made plenty of mistakes.

I like how you have the 126, 140 and 220 in the same diplomatic picture.
