"zeontestpilot" (zeontestpilot)

...my grandparents lease is up this summer, and they'll be leasing a new car. Since I'm the oldest grandson, it is my duty to be as annoying as possible. So oppo, what would be a great jalop car for my grandparents? The rules are as follows. It has to be a GM brand car (gramps worked there, so discount). And it has to seat at least 5 people. I'll be reposting this to Facebook, just for kicks, :).

I'm saying Terrain because:
Higher seating position make getting in and out of easier for older people.
305 horsepower V6 and AWD.
Dat styling.
Roomy inside for 4 above average sized adults and a kid or 5 normal sized adults.
Pretty good cargo capacity.
Dat styling.
Comfortable interior with a sliding second row (at least the Equinox has one.)
Unless of course that's what they're turning in, then I'm saying Buick Regal GS AWD. Because 257 horsepower, AWD, sporty Buick.

Depends on the location. If they're going to encounter snow often during the winter, I'll second the Terrain suggestion. Otherwise, maybe an ATS sport or Chevy SS for warm weather climates.

If they're still 'young' (their joints still work), then Chevy SS or a Cadillac.
If they aren't very you anymore, Yukon, Tahoe, or Escalade (Escalades are NICE).

It's what they are turning in, if I remember correctly. A Terrain Denali.

They are snowbirds. Michigan in the summer, Florida in the winter.

They already told me no for the '16 CTS-V, :).

Two words:
Buick. Avenir.
I think it seats 4 - get over it.
Also, it's not real. And it probably won't ever be. Get over it.
You're welcome.

Cadillac SRX - spiffier version of the Terrain they're turning in
Chevy Impala / Buick Lacrosse / Cadillac XTS - big fwd boats with optional awd and the 3.6 V6 (or they can get the twin turbo XTS Vsport which for some reason exists even though there's no reason to buy one over the CTS Vsport with a better platform and same turbo motor, since it's more expensive than the CTS Vsport)
Buick Regal GS - sorta/kinda Euro feeling
CTS Vsport - Sure they said no to the full-on CTS-V but the Vsport isn't as crazy
Chevy SS - RWD, bigass motor, and they don't need awd since they're snowbirds

Right now GM employees and retirees are getting huge discounts on '14 CTS sedans, buy or lease, fwiw. Friend of mine who works there and her dad got theirs for barely $30k each. My grandpa also really liked the Buick Regal he rented a while back.

Seeing as they are snowbirds the best options would be,
Buick LaCrosse if they can still get into a lower car.
If they want to stay near an SUV/Crossover height They should upgrade to a newer Terrain or Move up to the Arcadia.

Then I'd repeatedly ask to take their car for mundane tasks, :).
