no, i7 4600Us are ultra-low voltage. It's nearly impossible to find a business laptop that has an i7 4700MQ (or better) that is not the size of a suitcase.

I've been enjoying it for the last 3 years. I've gotten used to the power brick, however, I don't mind large computers / components.
I've been thinking of upgrading to an SSD once the semester is over. Prices seem to be at a good level for capacity now, and I wouldn't mind the speed boost.

DO IT
if you wanna be smart, get a 128GB SSD and then an HD caddy to replace your DVD drive with.
Or get an mSATA SSD and that way you can keep the HD in the main bay and the DVD burner.

I was thinking about getting the HD caddy. I can't remember the last time I used the DVD burner on this thing. Plus, it wouldn't be difficult to pop it back in for the rare occasion that I would need it.
There really isn't much of a jump in price between most 128GB and 256GB drives, so I might just go for a 256GB. That, plus the 320GB HDD I already have, would be pretty nice.
