Still sitting. I'm not going to complain about doing nothing, as they pay me either way. It's just painfully boring. My boss suggested I just take a nap until we get some vehicles in.

Got to do a wash and vac on an LR2 yesterday. That was the only vehicle I have done so far. My first time driving a Land Rover as well. The steering is way too light, as is the accelerator pedal. They both feel like they aren't attached to anything.

Here is one of the vehicles that was parked in here before we locked up last night. RR Evoque.

So you're mostly sitting in a garage and not working? I know people strongly encourage empathy with creatures (or in this case vehicles) you take care of, but this is ridiculous.

Do you do every vehicle that comes in for service or is it only done when the customer requests it?

Only requests. We also do every delivery after the PDI, and every car that's sold. There are also a few people who bring in a other cars for us to detail.

The forecast isn't too bright. The weather has been very wintery, so it's only been SUVs.

I guess I don't know how typical your current idleness is, but it seems like they might as well wash everything that comes in if they're paying for you to be there anyways. Create some good will with the customer at pretty much the cost of the soap or whatever. I know I always get a wash when I take my Honda to the dealership.

They run them through the auto car wash, but I agree that they may as well have us do a wash and vac after a service.
