Won my class!

Unforunately, we only captured one of my full runs on video from the GoPro on the outside of the car. I believe this is my 2nd fastest run.

Not too shabby for my first time racing on ice, let alone in a RWD tail-happy car with weight removed from the rear end. haha

It was an insane amount of fun. A lot more relaxed than a normal solo, so we got a ton of practice runs in. I was going full oppo for most of those runs, especially when I went by the camera guy. haha I'll post those photos in the full write up.

I took a ride in an Evo IX on winter tires, and that thing was insane. We were doing about 65-70 sideays in the turns.

That looks like so much fun! What kind of tires did you use? If you get some studded ice tires I bet it's a whole different ball game.

I'm running Blizzak WS-80s.

Yeah, the studded guys were running crazy speeds. There was an FC RX7 that was insane.

I'll bet it's an absolute blast with studded tires. I've always wanted to do one of these in my Miata. I have a set of new studded tires in my garage that I've never used because I haven't gotten around to replacing the valve stems. I got them off of a guy who bought them for ice racing but never used them.

Yeah, I regret not taking a ride in one of the cars with the studded tires.

Seeing a Miata out there would be awesome!!!

I'm thinking about picking up some used studded tires next year for rallycross events.

It was pretty soft, and I was trying to get as close to the cones as possible on a lot of my runs.

That is alot of fun. I was there on their first weekend this year. Kinda sad that I missed out this weekend. I am only 30 minutes away from that lake. I even missed you guys documenting the trip up here on the FB group. Not sure if you run it but we should pin upcoming posts to the top of that page.

I don't run it, but I can talk to one of the admins. If they run the race again this upcoming weekend I might go.

It was me!

It's held on Lake Neshonoc in West Salem, WI. Not far from Lacrosse.

The Sports Car Club of Lacrosse is the organization that hosts it. They should be doing it again this Sunday if weather/conditions permit.

Always nice to see more toyobarus rallycrossing! I'm going to my first event since I moved to Michigan this weekend.

Have you played with left foot braking? I tried it out a bit at my last event to get the fronts to dig and get the car to rotate and it seemed to work well.

I tried a couple corners, but not enough to really get a feel for it. I was trying to keep the car as inline as possible for fastest times. I'm planning on experimenting with it more the next time.

I felt great on my winter tires (Blizzak WS-80s). They handled very well, and I was really confident in my control of the car.
