I dont even understand half of that crap. It took me ten minutes or less to put the SSD in a DVD ROM caddy and put it in and install my new ram but all this software talk and I just get crazy. I was almost to the point of contacting you and trying to sort it out. But I decided to just do a clean install.

Wait, you put the SSD in the caddy and left your HD In the main bay? Swap them. The HD bay is almost always faster.

Really? Is there a difference?

hmm thats kinda what I though but the HD in the stock position has the vents and stuff so I thought it would be better in its stock position. Of course swapping them is no big deal. Currently just enjoying a working computer. I will end up putting the HD back in and figure out what I need to do to get it working as storage drive.

Yeah., most of the 2nd bays run at either SATA I or II and you want SATA III

The vents are for the fan, processor and (if applicable) dedicated GPU.

Ah, they cheap out for the disk drives then. Didn't know that.

That makes sense. I just need to put the SSD in the HD bay and switch boot order in BIOS right?

Pretty much, yeah.

Yeah! I just did that as well. 250GB SSD for the OS/programs and my old 1TB drive for everything else. Amazing what a difference it makes, and my system's no slouch.
If you play games, Steam lets you create multiple Steam libraries on different drives. You can install less-demanding games to thew slower, bigger drive and the resource-intensive ones to the faster drive.
