I've finished the jar of Peter Pan peanut butter my girlfriend brought over when she visited. I will now be forced to pay 9€ for a tiny jar of crappy Reese's peanut butter or 6€ for an even tinier jar of even crappier British peanut butter. Here's hoping I find a source of the good stuff sometime soon.

I don't really have a huge difference in preference among the mainstream brands, although with them I usually prefer smooth to chunky. That being said… when I'm back home with my parents, there's a really nice local grocery store nearby that has a machine that will make freshly ground peanut butter for you, and it is the chunkiest most delicious PB I've ever had.

I would ship you a jar of extra crunchy JIF just to keep you from eating that crap.

I didn't know this until recently, but some (or all) people with peanut allergies can eat peanut butter. My girlfriend is severely allergic, but she loves peanut butter. Strange.

I've been told by a friend that you guys don't have kraft peanut butter in Europe, she told me to bring my own if ever I go. I would be able to live on just peanut butter. Only kraft, I don't like the other kinds

Hmm I haven't seen any Kraft PB here. In general PB is fairly rare, though not impossible to find over. A bit more expensive too and severely constrained variety.

Came here to extol the virtues of extra crunchy jiff, pleasantly surprised to see multiple people beat me to it.
And, I know this is terrible, but I've had homemade peanut butter, and I don't like it as much. I'm sure it's from growing up on processed stuff, but without replacing the peanut oil with vegetable oil, it's not the same.

Different strokes for different folks I guess. There are definitely some things I would prefer store bought peanut butter for though.

you poor bastard.
Guess I'll stay here in canada.
I go through at least one jar per month, just me. The wife and kids prefer Nutella.
I take my Nutella on peanut butter..

We think alike… when I'm in the US I consume peanut butter at about the same rate you do (assuming you're talking about one of the large sized jars in a normal store), plus Nutella as well. Fortunately there's plenty of that here.

I wonder how much it would be… I already pay much more on a per unit basis here and get hit with the currency exchange. That might actually be economical given what I spend on this shit peanut butter.

Well, what would it cost to get a 5lb. package to you from zip code 53901?
I have 5 jars - 4 "store brand" regular peanut butter and 1 Jif Mocha Cappuccino peanut butter.

Hmm I just put in Paris. Not sure if there'd be a better city than that. I'm probably doing it wrong though. I hardly ever send packages.

I fired up the USPS shipping calculator.
4 jars in a "Priority Mail International® Large Video Flat Rate Box" (max weight 4lbs.) would be $24.75.
Or we could do like 19 jars in a "Priority Mail International® Medium Flat Rate Box" (max weight 20lbs) for $61.75.
