So Ford said the RS does 0-60 in under 5 seconds and is only available in a manual transmission. The Golf R is claimed at 4.9 to 60 with the DSG but the manual only musters 5.3. That bodes well for the RS being a quick car that it can make up at least .4 sec on the manual golf.
I'm just speculating. Anyone know the GOLF Rs 1/4 time? Manual vs DSG?

well the new golf r is out in February so he must have a last generation. I just read that the manuals gearing in the newest model requires a second shift before 60, I suppose a tune with a raised redline would bring that time down with one less shift
